II. 3 Bài Mẫu “Describe a Public Place That You Used to Visit a Lot But Don’t Anymore”
“Describe a public place that you used to visit a lot but don’t anymore”
Bài Mẫu 1
One of the public places that I used to visit frequently is the local library in my hometown. The library was a quiet, peaceful place filled with rows of books, comfortable reading chairs, and a small section dedicated to study areas. It was a sanctuary for me during my school years.
I used to go there almost every weekend to borrow books and study for exams. The library was well-stocked with a wide variety of books, ranging from fiction to reference materials. I especially enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, which was ideal for concentrating on my studies. The librarians were also very friendly and always willing to help me find the books I needed.
However, as I grew older and moved to a different city for university, I stopped visiting the library. My new university had a large, modern library with more resources, and I started relying on online materials for my studies. Additionally, my busy schedule made it difficult to find time to visit the library.
I also noticed that the old library had undergone some changes over the years. It was renovated and modernized, but the cozy, familiar atmosphere that I loved so much was gone. While I have fond memories of my time spent there, I no longer feel the need to visit it as I did in the past.

One public place that I used to frequent is the local park near my childhood home. The park was a large, open space with lush green grass, tall trees, and a small pond in the center. It was a popular spot for families, joggers, and children playing after school.
As a child, I would visit the park almost every evening with my friends. We used to play football, ride our bikes, and sometimes just sit by the pond, watching the ducks. The park was a central part of my social life; it was where I made many of my childhood friends and where we spent countless hours together. The sound of laughter and the sight of children running around created a lively and joyful atmosphere that I still remember fondly.
However, as I grew older, my visits to the park became less frequent. The demands of school, and later university, took up most of my time. I also developed new hobbies and interests that didn’t involve spending time outdoors as much. I eventually quit going to the park completely.
Another reason for not visiting the park anymore is that I moved to a different city for my studies and later for work. The park holds many cherished memories, but the distance and my busy schedule have kept me from returning. Additionally, I heard from friends that the park has changed a lot over the years, with new developments and fewer green spaces, which makes it less appealing.
Even though I no longer visit the park, it remains a special place in my heart. The memories of carefree days spent there with friends are some of the happiest of my childhood, and I sometimes wish I could relive those moments.
Bài Mẫu 3
The neighborhood pool is one public location I used to frequently visit, but I no longer do. The pool was located just a short walk from my house and was a popular spot during the hot summer months. It had a large pool for adults and a smaller one for children, along with a few lounge chairs and a snack bar.
During my teenage years, I spent almost every summer afternoon at the pool with my friends. We would swim, play water games, and relax by the poolside. It was a place where we could cool off from the heat, have fun, and socialize. The pool also offered swimming lessons, which I took regularly to improve my skills. The sense of community at the pool was strong, and it was a place where everyone knew each other.
However, as I got older, my interest in going to the pool waned. I became more involved in other activities, such as sports and part-time jobs, which left me with less time to visit the pool. Additionally, after graduating from high school, I moved away to attend college, and visiting the community pool became less convenient.
The last time I visited the pool was a few years ago, during a visit to my parents’ house. The pool had changed a lot since my teenage years – it seemed quieter, with fewer people, and the facilities were not as well-maintained as they used to be. The vibrant atmosphere that I once loved had faded, and I realized that I had moved on from that phase of my life. The pool will always be a part of my past, even if I no longer visit it.
