Sample: Describe a game you played in your childhood
“In my childhood, a game that I was particularly fond of was “Hide and Seek”. It’s a classic game where one person counts, while the others hide, and then the counter tries to find everyone. I often played this during the long summer vacations, mostly in the late afternoons when the sun was not so harsh.
I usually played with my neighborhood friends, sometimes a group of five or even up to ten. Our neighborhood, with its trees, bushes, and various nooks and crannies, provided the perfect setting for this game. We would designate boundaries to ensure no one wandered off too far.
Every time I played, the adrenaline rush was undeniable. Hiding, waiting silently for the seeker to pass by, trying not to giggle – it was thrilling. And being the seeker, the anticipation and the challenge to find everyone added to the excitement. What I loved most about “Hide and Seek” was that it was not just a physical game; it also demanded strategy, quick thinking, and sometimes teamwork when we would hint to each other where someone might be hiding.
Looking back, that game symbolized the simple joys and innocence of my childhood. It wasn’t just a pastime; it was an embodiment of the freedom, camaraderie, and sheer fun we experienced as children.”
